Brewers' Dustin May makes unsurprising free agency decision after securing MLB-leading fourth ring

Dustin May won his fourth World Series ring with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2026, tying Mookie Betts for the most among active players before turning 30. The right-hander, acquired mid-season from St. Louis, played a limited role in the postseason with a 5.73 ERA across 11 innings. May declined his $20 million mutual option with the Brewers on Thursday and became a free agent, a move expected given he is unlikely to re-sign with Milwaukee.
