Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras has posted strong offensive numbers through August, recording eight extra-base hits including three home runs and five doubles while batting .263/.357/.411 over 25 games. The two-time Silver Slugger winner won the award in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024 but currently sits at a .399 slugging percentage this year, trailing National League frontrunners Hunter Goodman (.545) and Drake Baldwin (.454). Contreras has been a finalist for the award in each of the last three years and would join Ryan Braun, Robin Yount, and Cecil Cooper as the only Brewers players with at least three Silver Slugger Awards if he can secure one this season.
